The CE certification milestone arrives at a pivotal moment for the European window profile industry. European fenestration manufacturers are increasingly consolidating their polyamide thermal break strip marking processes around UV laser technology as the preferred method for achieving EN 14024 compliance—the European standard that governs the performance and traceability marking requirements for thermally broken aluminum profiles. The standard requires permanent, legible marking identifying material composition and batch origin at intervals not exceeding 300 mm along each strip, a requirement that industry participants have found increasingly difficult to satisfy with inkjet or mechanical embossing methods as production speeds continue to rise.
